The cost of Part A depends on how long you paid Medicare taxes. As of 2023, if you paid Medicare taxes for less than 30 quarters, your Part A premium will be $506 per month. If you paid Medicare taxes for 30-39 quarters, it will be $278 per month.

Your Medicare Part B premium is based on your annual income and whether you file your taxes individually or jointly. The average Part B Premium in 2023 is $164.90. This usually comes out of your social security check before you receive your payment.
