The cost of Part A depends on how long you paid Medicare taxes. As of 2022, if you paid Medicare taxes for less than 30 quarters, your Part A premium will be $499 per month. If you paid Medicare taxes for 30-39 quarters, it will be $274 per month.

Your Medicare Part B premium is based on your annual income and whether you file your taxes individually or jointly. The average Part B Premium in 2022 is $170.10. This usually comes out of your social security check before you receive your payment.

Generally speaking, the plans that have higher deductibles will have lower premiums and vice versa.
